(7) In this section— player’s original wager means— (a) (b) (c) the spanish blackjack wager on the first of the hands formed by splitting cards; or if the player has a point total of 21 on the first of the hands formed by splitting cards—the wager on the other hand; or if the player doubles down and forfeits on the first of the hands formed by splitting cards—the wager on the other hand if the point total on the other hand is not more than 20. 28 Additional cards for players (1) A player may elect to draw additional cards if the player’s point total is less than 21. (2) However, a player may draw only 1 additional card if— (a) the player has doubled down; or (b) the player’s hand was formed by splitting aces. (3) A player may elect to stand on any 2 or more cards. 29 Additional cards for dealer (1) A dealer must draw additional cards to the dealer’s hand until the dealer has a hard total of 17 to 21 or a soft total of 18 to 21, after which the dealer must not draw any further cards to the dealer’s hand. (2) A dealer must not draw additional cards to the dealer’s hand, regardless of the point total, if decisions have been made on all players’ hands and the additional cards would have no effect on the outcome of the round of play.

232 Casino Gaming Rule 2010 _________________________________________________________________ 30 One player for each box Subject to section 31 and part 5— (a) only 1 player may play on a box at a spanish blackjack table; and (b) the dealer must not allow a player to place a wager on another player’s hand. 31 More than 1 player for a box (1) A casino operator may permit up to 3 players to place a spanish blackjack wager on 1 box at a spanish blackjack table. (2) The casino operator may direct that either— (a) (b) the total of all players’ wagers on 1 box must not be more than the table maximum; or the separate wagers for each player must not be more than the table maximum. 32 Relationship between players placing spanish blackjack wagers on the same box (1) This section applies— (a) if more than 1 player places a spanish blackjack wager on a box; and (b) to each player who places a spanish blackjack wager on the box. (2) The dealer must decide the player who controls the box. (3) The dealer must ensure the wager of the player who controls the box is in the part of the box closest to the dealer’s side of the table. (4) Only the player controlling the box may make decisions about the cards to be dealt to the box and all other players must place their wagers immediately behind and in a straight line with the wager of the player controlling the box.

28 Additional cards for players<br />

(1) A player may elect to draw additional cards if the player’s<br />

point total is less than 21.<br />

(2) However, a player may draw only 1 additional card if—<br />

(a) the player has doubled down; or<br />

(b) the player’s h<strong>and</strong> was formed by splitting aces.<br />

(3) A player may elect to st<strong>and</strong> on any 2 or more cards.<br />

29 Additional cards for dealer<br />

(1) A dealer must draw additional cards to the dealer’s h<strong>and</strong><br />

until the dealer has a hard total <strong>of</strong> 17 to 21 or a s<strong>of</strong>t total <strong>of</strong><br />

18 to 21, after which the dealer must not draw any further<br />

cards to the dealer’s h<strong>and</strong>.<br />

(2) A dealer must not draw additional cards to the dealer’s<br />

h<strong>and</strong>, regardless <strong>of</strong> the point total, if decisions have been<br />

made on all players’ h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> the additional cards would<br />

have no effect on the outcome <strong>of</strong> the round <strong>of</strong> play.
