the table, <strong>of</strong>fers the stack to each player until a player<br />

accepts the cut.<br />

(3) The player who accepts the cut may ask another player to<br />

cut the cards.<br />

(4) If no player accepts the cut, the dealer cut the cards.<br />

(5) The cards must be cut by placing the cutting card in the<br />

stack at least 10 cards in from either end.<br />

(6) After the cutting card has been inserted into the stack, the<br />

dealer takes all cards in front <strong>of</strong> the cutting card <strong>and</strong> places<br />

them to the back <strong>of</strong> the stack.<br />

(7) The dealer then inserts the second cutting card at least 14<br />

cards in from the back <strong>of</strong> the stack <strong>and</strong> leaves the second<br />

cutting card at the end <strong>of</strong> the stack.<br />

(8) The stack <strong>of</strong> cards is then inserted into the dealing shoe for<br />

start <strong>of</strong> play.<br />

(9) Before starting play, the dealer must remove the first card<br />

from the shoe face down <strong>and</strong> place it in the discard holder.<br />

(10) However, if a player asks, the dealer must show the face <strong>of</strong><br />

the card to the players.<br />

(11) If a player asks <strong>and</strong> all other players at the table agree, a<br />

casino employee <strong>of</strong> the level <strong>of</strong> assistant pit boss or higher<br />

may direct the dealer to remove an additional number <strong>of</strong><br />

cards equal to the face value <strong>of</strong> the first card drawn <strong>and</strong> to<br />

place them in the discard holder after the faces <strong>of</strong> all cards<br />

drawn have been shown to the players.<br />

(12) For subsection (11)—<br />

(a) a 10, jack, queen or king card has a face value <strong>of</strong> 10;<br />

<strong>and</strong><br />

(b) an ace card has a face value <strong>of</strong> 1.<br />

17 Banker<br />

(1) The dealer is the banker unless a player is the banker under<br />

this rule.<br />

(2) If a casino key employee <strong>of</strong> a level higher than floor<br />

manager directs the dealer to <strong>of</strong>fer the dealing shoe to a
