5 Maximum <strong>of</strong> 3 players for a numbered place at a table<br />

Not more than 3 players may wager at a numbered place at<br />

a table.<br />

6 Number <strong>of</strong> decks <strong>and</strong> way cards are dealt<br />

(1) Mini-baccarat <strong>and</strong> premium mini-baccarat is played with 6<br />

or 8 decks <strong>of</strong> cards with backs <strong>of</strong> the same colour <strong>and</strong><br />

design <strong>and</strong> 2 additional cutting cards.<br />

(2) All cards must be dealt from a dealing shoe designed for<br />

the purpose.<br />

7 Value <strong>of</strong> cards <strong>and</strong> point value <strong>of</strong> h<strong>and</strong><br />

(1) The value <strong>of</strong> the cards in each deck is as follows—<br />

(a) a card from 2 to 9 has its face value;<br />

(b) a 10, jack, queen or king has a value <strong>of</strong> 0;<br />

(c) an ace has a value <strong>of</strong> 1.<br />

(2) The point count <strong>of</strong> a h<strong>and</strong> is a single digit number from 0<br />

to 9 <strong>and</strong> is decided by adding together the values <strong>of</strong> the<br />

cards in the h<strong>and</strong>.<br />

(3) If the total value <strong>of</strong> the cards in a h<strong>and</strong> is a two-digit<br />

number, the left digit <strong>of</strong> the number is discarded <strong>and</strong> the<br />

right digit is the point count <strong>of</strong> the h<strong>and</strong>.<br />

8 Mini-baccarat <strong>and</strong> premium mini-baccarat wagers <strong>and</strong><br />

results<br />

(1) For a mini-baccarat wager or a premium mini-baccarat<br />

wager, a player wagers on the banker’s h<strong>and</strong>, the player’s<br />

h<strong>and</strong> or a tie bet.<br />

(2) A wager on the banker’s h<strong>and</strong>—<br />

(a)<br />

wins if the banker’s h<strong>and</strong> has a point count higher<br />

than the player’s h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong><br />

(b) loses if the banker’s h<strong>and</strong> has a point count lower<br />

than the player’s h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong>
