(b)<br />

bets the remaining amount <strong>of</strong> the player’s table stake<br />

by putting all the chips remaining in the player’s table<br />

stake into the pot.<br />

(2) If a player taps out, the player stays in the round <strong>of</strong> play<br />

until the showdown, but takes no further part in the round<br />

<strong>of</strong> betting in which the player taps out, <strong>and</strong> takes no part in<br />

a later round <strong>of</strong> betting for the round <strong>of</strong> play.<br />

(3) Amounts bet by players that are more than the player who<br />

has tapped out has bet are placed in a separate pot.<br />

(4) A player who taps out is eligible to win a pot only if it was<br />

formed before the player tapped out.<br />

(5) Subsection (6) applies to a round <strong>of</strong> betting if, in the round<br />

<strong>of</strong> betting—<br />

(a) a player (player A) raises when tapping out; <strong>and</strong><br />

(b) the amount player A bets is less than the amount<br />

needed for a raise; <strong>and</strong><br />

(c) all other active players (the other players) have the<br />

opportunity to act for the round <strong>of</strong> betting before<br />

player A acts.<br />

(6) For the remainder <strong>of</strong> the round <strong>of</strong> betting after player A<br />

raises <strong>and</strong> taps out, the other players may only call.<br />

(7) If a player (player B) taps out <strong>and</strong> another player (player C)<br />

makes an uncalled opening bet or an uncalled raise for a<br />

round <strong>of</strong> betting, entitlement to the pot formed before<br />

player B tapped out is decided on a comparison <strong>of</strong> player<br />

B’s h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> player C’s h<strong>and</strong>.<br />

(8) If, when player B’s h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> player C’s h<strong>and</strong> are to be<br />

compared under subsection (7), all 5 communal cards have<br />

not been dealt, the remaining communal cards must be dealt<br />

before the comparison is made.<br />

(9) The size <strong>of</strong> the pot is announced, <strong>and</strong> commission is<br />

deducted from it, before it is h<strong>and</strong>ed over.<br />

Example <strong>of</strong> operation <strong>of</strong> section—<br />

Player A taps out in the third round <strong>of</strong> betting. The final round <strong>of</strong><br />

betting finishes <strong>and</strong> there is a showdown. Players B <strong>and</strong> C are the only<br />

still active players at the showdown, all other players (other than player<br />

A who tapped out) have folded. Player A’s h<strong>and</strong> is greater in value
