(5) If the designated player does not make an opening bet, each<br />

player in turn, starting with the player next to the<br />

designated player—<br />

(a) opens the betting by placing a bet in the pot; or<br />

(b) checks; or<br />

(c) folds.<br />

(6) If each active player checks in the second, third or fourth<br />

round <strong>of</strong> betting, the round <strong>of</strong> betting finishes <strong>and</strong> the next<br />

communal card is dealt.<br />

(7) If no player makes an opening bet in the final round <strong>of</strong><br />

betting—<br />

(a) the dealer—<br />

(i) announces that the pot has been won; <strong>and</strong><br />

(ii) calculates the amount <strong>of</strong> the casino operator’s<br />

commission; <strong>and</strong><br />

(iii) announces the amount <strong>of</strong> the pot <strong>and</strong> the<br />

amount <strong>of</strong> the commission; <strong>and</strong><br />

(iv) deducts the commission from the pot; <strong>and</strong><br />

(v) passes the pot, with the commission deducted,<br />

to the player with the highest ranking poker<br />

h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong><br />

(b)<br />

the round <strong>of</strong> play, as well as the round <strong>of</strong> betting, is<br />

completed.<br />

(8) After an opening bet has been made, each active player in<br />

turn, starting with the player next to the player who made<br />

the opening bet, <strong>and</strong> until the round <strong>of</strong> betting finishes—<br />

(a) calls; or<br />

(b) calls <strong>and</strong> raises; or<br />

(c) folds.<br />

(9) If a player makes an opening bet but no player calls—<br />

(a) the dealer—<br />

(i) announces that the pot has been won; <strong>and</strong>
