<strong>Oil</strong> <strong>India</strong> <strong>Limited</strong> had signed<br />

Memorandum of Understanding<br />

(MoU) with the Assam Public<br />

Works Department (APWD), Govt<br />

of Assam on 10 th September, <strong>2012</strong><br />

for execution and completion of<br />

Upgradation of 4.60 kms road of<br />

Duliajan town (from Duliajan Rly.<br />

Gate to Tipling Tiniali Road) for an<br />

amount of ` 24.32 crores (Twenty<br />

four crores and thirty two lakhs).<br />

The foundation stone of a 4.60 km double lane road in Duliajan town<br />

was ceremoniously laid by Ms. Amiya Gogoi, local MLA along with<br />

Shri K K Nath, Resident Chief Executive, OIL in presence of other senior<br />

officials of District Administration and <strong>Oil</strong> <strong>India</strong> <strong>Limited</strong> on 17 th <strong>Dec</strong>ember<br />

<strong>2012</strong> at Duliajan. Shri N R Deka, GM (Admin & PR), Shri N K Das, GM<br />

(Services), Shri Pranab Kr. Bora Circle Officer of Tengakhat, along with<br />

officials of OIL, APWD and local residents were present on the occasion.<br />

<strong>Oil</strong> <strong>India</strong> <strong>Limited</strong> had signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)<br />

with the Assam Public Works Department (APWD), Govt of Assam on<br />

10 th September, <strong>2012</strong> for execution and completion of Upgradation of<br />

4.60 kms road of Duliajan town (from Duliajan Rly. Gate to Tipling Tiniali<br />

Road) for an amount of ` 24.32 crores (Twenty four crores and thirty<br />

two lakhs). The road shall be executed by APWD, Dibrugarh Rural Road<br />

Division, Dibrugarh within a timeframe of 18 (eighteen) months from the<br />

date of issuance of formal work order. The MoU was signed at the office<br />

of Commissioner & <strong>Special</strong> Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, PWRD by<br />

Shri K K Nath, Resident Chief Executive, OIL, Duliajan and Shri M C Boro,<br />

Commissioner & Spl. Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, PWRD.<br />

This major investment by OIL for the double lane road with both side<br />

drainage system along with street light facilities once completed will be<br />

of immense help to the common public as Several Educational Institutes,<br />

residential areas etc are located by the side of the road. Being the most<br />

important connectivity to Dibrugarh and other parts of the State, this<br />

road passes through the heart of Duliajan Town having commercial &<br />

marketing complexes, Registered Office and Industrial Area of <strong>Oil</strong> <strong>India</strong><br />

<strong>Limited</strong>, Head Quarter of Assam Gas Company, etc.<br />
