Knitting Needles: 9mm [US 13], 6mm [US 10].<br />

Circular Knitting Needles: 6mm [US 10], 5mm [US 8]<br />

– 16".<br />

Stitch holder, stitch marker, yarn needle.<br />

GAUGES: 8 sts = 4"; 10 rows = 4" in St st holding 1 strand<br />

each CA and CB together with 9mm needle. 16 sts = 4";<br />

18 rows = 4" in pat using 1 strand CA and 6mm needle.<br />

CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to<br />

obtain the gauges.<br />

To Fit Bust: 30-32 (34-36, 38-40, 42-44)".<br />

Finished Bust: 37 (41, 45, 49)".<br />

Dec 1 st at neck edge every K row 1 (2, 2, 2) times – 9 (11,<br />

13, 14) sts. Work even until front measures same as back.<br />

Bind off sts for shoulder.<br />

With right side facing, join yarns to sts on holder, bind off<br />

center 11 (9, 9, 11) sts, K to end – 10 (13, 15, 16) sts.<br />

Complete to correspond to first side.<br />

SLEEVES: With 6mm needles and one strand CA, cast<br />

on 33 (33, 35, 39) sts.<br />

Row 1 (Right Side): Knit.<br />

Row 2: P1, * K1, P1; rep from * across.<br />

Rep Rows 1 and 2 for pat, shaping sides by inc 1 st each<br />

end of next row, then every 3rd row 11 (11, 21, 19) more<br />

times, then every 4th row 7 (9, 2, 4) times, working added<br />

sts into pat – 71 (75, 83, 87) sts.<br />

Work even until 18 (19, 19 1/2, 20)" from beg, end by<br />

working a wrong side row. Bind off.<br />

BACK: With 9mm needle and holding 1 strand each CA<br />

and CB together as one, cast on 37 (41, 45, 49) sts.<br />

Row 1 (Right Side): K1, * P1, K1; rep from * across.<br />

Row 2: P1, * K1, P1; rep from * across.<br />

Now work even in St st, beg K row, until 10 1/2 (11, 11 1/2,<br />

12)" from beg, end by working a P row.<br />

Shape Armholes: Bind off 3 sts at beg of the next 2<br />

rows – 31 (35, 39, 43) sts.<br />

Work even until 19 1/2 (20 1/2, 22, 23)" from beg, end by<br />

working a P row. Bind off all sts.<br />

FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams. Place center of sleeve<br />

tops at shoulder seams and sew in place, sewing top 1<br />

1/2" at each side of sleeves to underarm bind-off sts of<br />

front and back. Sew side and sleeve seams.<br />

Turtleneck: With right side facing, 5mm circular needle<br />

and one strand of CA, beg at right shoulder seam and<br />

pick up and K68 (68, 72, 74) sts evenly spaced around<br />

neck opening. Place marker on needle to indicate<br />

beg/end of rnds and work K1, P1 ribbing for 3". Change to<br />

6mm circular needle and continue in ribbing until turtleneck<br />

measures 6 1/2". Bind off loosely in ribbing.<br />

FRONT: Work same as back until 16 1/2 (17 1/2, 19, 20)"<br />

from beg, end by working a P row.<br />

Divide for Neck/Shoulders: K10 (13, 15, 16) sts; turn<br />

and place remaining sts on a holder. P 1 row.<br />
