Late Payments<br />
Late payments are subject to a late fee <strong>of</strong> $105 ($100 + $5<br />
GST) (if paid within 30 days after the due date) or $157.50<br />
(if paid more than 30 days after the due date). This includes<br />
cheques that are received early but postdated after<br />
March 10, 2008. Late payments are not processed until<br />
the late payment fee has been received.<br />
Move from Part A to Part B <strong>of</strong><br />
the <strong>College</strong>’s Register<br />
To elect to Part B <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong> register please send an<br />
email to ocpclientservices@ocpinfo.com indicating your<br />
desire to move to Part B <strong>of</strong> the register. <strong>Pharmacists</strong> in<br />
Part B <strong>of</strong> the register are not required to obtain personal<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional liability insurance or participate in practice review.<br />
The renewal fee for a Part B pharmacist is $282.40.<br />
Member Emeritus<br />
Any pharmacist who has practiced continually in good<br />
standing in <strong>Ontario</strong> and/or other jurisdictions for at least<br />
25 years can voluntarily resign from the Register and<br />
make an application for the Member Emeritus designation.<br />
Members Emeritus are not permitted to practice<br />
pharmacy in <strong>Ontario</strong> but will be added to the roll <strong>of</strong> persons<br />
so designated, receive a certificate and continue to<br />
receive Pharmacy Connection at no charge.<br />
Once you have completed your information filing<br />
online and your payment has been processed,<br />
your wallet card and income tax receipt will be<br />
mailed to your residence.<br />
Personal Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
Liability Insurance<br />
Mandatory for Part A pharmacists<br />
It is a mandatory requirement <strong>of</strong> your annual renewal to<br />
update the details <strong>of</strong> your personal pr<strong>of</strong>essional liability<br />
insurance. You will be able to update your insurance<br />
information while completing your online renewal. The<br />
list <strong>of</strong> insurance products and broker organizations that<br />
satisfy the criteria prescribed in <strong>College</strong> by-law is listed<br />
below. Members should be cautious if considering any<br />
other insurance products. If your insurance product is not<br />
on the pre-approved list you will be required to provide<br />
the <strong>College</strong> with additional details <strong>of</strong> your policy. It is the<br />
member’s responsibility to ensure that they have<br />
compliant insurance and that their insurance is fully<br />
portable regardless <strong>of</strong> their employment status.<br />
At this time, we can confirm that the following insurance<br />
products and organizations satisfy the criteria prescribed<br />
in <strong>College</strong> by-law:<br />

• Canadian Society <strong>of</strong> Hospital <strong>Pharmacists</strong><br />
- The Insurers Financial Group<br />
• Aviva Canada - This product is available through multiple<br />
insurance brokers across <strong>Ontario</strong> and through specific<br />
agreements with various pharmacy groups/networks.<br />
