4 Diagnostics Functions<br />
DTC Check<br />
DTC data is data stored in the vehicle <strong>com</strong>puter (ECU) internal memory when a trouble occurs. Checking DTC data can aid<br />
in specifying the cause of the trouble.<br />
DTC Data Display<br />
Displays the DTC data for the system selected on the system select screen.<br />
The procedure for displaying the DTC data is as follows.<br />
1. Select the system from the system select screen.<br />
2. Touch the DTC main menu button.<br />
Alternatively, touch [DTC] in the system select screen [Function] list.<br />
The DTC data list is displayed on the DTC data display screen.<br />

A "!" displayed at the left of DTC data shown in orange means that freeze frame data has been recorded<br />
for that data.<br />

ACTIVE KEY<br />
Current<br />
Displays the current DTC data.<br />
When there is DTC data, this button is displayed in blue.<br />
Pending<br />
Displays pending DTC data.<br />
When there is pending DTC data, this button is displayed in blue.<br />
History<br />
Displays historical DTC data (past codes).<br />
When there is historical DTC data, this button is displayed in blue.<br />
Saves DTC data. Reference: Page 47<br />
Clear<br />
Clears the DTC data stored in the vehicle <strong>com</strong>puter (ECU). Reference: Page 49<br />
