This law makes confidential health information contained in a<br />

complaint filed with <strong>the</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essions Council. This law<br />

relates <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> privacy <strong>of</strong> IIHI.<br />

This law is not contrary <strong>to</strong> HIPAA because <strong>the</strong> <strong>Health</strong><br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essions Council is not a covered entity.<br />

This section requires <strong>the</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essions Council <strong>to</strong> compile<br />

an annual report <strong>of</strong> enforcement activities and <strong>to</strong> provide <strong>the</strong><br />

report <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker.<br />
