MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS
1. Nano-bio-technologies:
Targeted drug delivery, through strategic functionalizations of nanodevices.
Transdermal vaccine delivery through aligned nano-needles systems.
Toxicological evaluation of drug delivery systems for biomedical applications.
Lab-on-a-chip devices for selective detection of rare circulating tumor cells (started recently).
2. Medicinal Chemistry:
Synthesis, characterization and quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) studies of potent
antagonists towards different adenosine receptors’ subtypes.
Molecular modeling studies to investigate ligand-receptor interactions (started recently).
