On Sunday, December 11 , 1994,

the status of alumni as th ey participated
in Winter 1994
Commencement. Keynote speaker
for the event was Dr Colleen
Hacker, '78, now associate professor
of physical education at Pacific
Lutheran University, Tacoma, WA. Dr.
Hacker has coached the PLU women's soccer teamfor 14
years, and for five consecutive years has led them to the
National Associa tion of Intercoll egiate Athletics national
championship She has been recognized repeatedly for her
teaching and coaching skills After graduating from Lock
Haven State College, she went on to earn a ma ster's degree
in exercise and sports science at the University of Arizona,
and a Ph .D. in exerci se and moveme nt science from the
University of Oregon
