THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAMBTON SHORES
BY-LAW 77 OF 2012
Being a By-law to authorize an Agreement between the
Corporation of the Municipality of Lambton Shores and
Gilpin Funeral Chapel Ltd.
WHEREAS: The Municipality of Lambton Shores owns and operates 4
Cemeteries, in addition to ownership in the Pinery Cemetery;
AND WHEREAS: It is expedient to enter into an agreement with the local Funeral
Directors to authorize certain Funeral Home employees who
are licensed as “sales representatives” to facilitate the sale of
specific services at the Cemeteries on behalf of the
Municipality;
AND WHEREAS: It is deemed appropriate for the Municipality to authorize the
Mayor and Clerk to sign the necessary agreement;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Lambton
Shores enacts as follows:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute an agreement on behalf of the
Corporation between the Municipality of Lambton Shores and Gilpin Funeral
Chapel Ltd. , a copy of which is attached to this by-law as “Schedule “A”, and to
affix to the contract the Corporate Seal of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Lambton Shores;
2. This By-law comes into force and effect upon being finally passed.
