We would then manually reduce the sewer billing by the amount of cubic meters
required to fill their pool – only if we were informed of the volume required to fill. Again,
this was a practice done by 1 or 2 of the 5 former municipalities – so it was never a
policy and more of a courtesy – therefore it has always been a charge and what was
incorporated in the new policy is an actual statement that would discontinue the
reduction practice.
If Council wishes to amend the approved policy, I would suggest that the
implementation begin with the next season as there are customers that have already
completed their fills.
