Minutes <strong>of</strong> the August 8, 2011 Council Meeting<br />

That signage indicating that Glendale Drive is a “Dead End” be<br />

erected at the corner <strong>of</strong> Lakeshore Road and Glendale Drive, and<br />

that the parking situation near the beach access in the subdivision<br />

be monitored to determine if regulatory signage is required.<br />

Councillor Russell asked that consideration be given to recognize a resident at the next<br />

Council meeting as a “Good Neighbour” for his efforts in enhancing his community.<br />

2011 Council meeting in recognition <strong>of</strong> an individual’s efforts in<br />

6.21 CL Report No. 54-2011 – Re: Adjustments to the <strong>Lambton</strong> <strong>Shores</strong>’ Parking<br />

By-law 20-2002<br />

Following investigation by the By-law Enforcement Officer into a concern received from<br />

residents on Sandy Lane in Ipperwash that beach patrons are parking on this road and<br />

obstructing people’s access to their homes, a recommendation was made to restrict<br />

parking in this area. <strong>The</strong> bylaw to restrict parking on both sides <strong>of</strong> Sandy Lane in its<br />

entirety was presented for Council for approval, and once approved, appropriate<br />

signage denoting this restriction will be erected.<br />

That the <strong>Lambton</strong> <strong>Shores</strong>’ Parking By-law 20-2002 be amended in<br />

accordance with the recommendations in CL Report No. 54-2011;<br />

and that By-law 71-2011 implementing the changes be approved.<br />
