That PL Report No. 30-2011 regarding an Official Plan Amendment<br />

Application OP-02/2011 and Zoning By-law Amendment Application<br />

ZO-03/2011, submitted by Mark and Lisa Bastiaansen, affecting<br />

lands known as 7722 Jericho Road to amend the Official Plan and<br />

Zoning By-law to permit the creation <strong>of</strong> a dwelling which is surplus<br />

to a farming operation as a result <strong>of</strong> a farm consolidation be<br />

received and filed and that the by-laws to implement the<br />

amendments to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law be approved.<br />

6.6 D.C.S. Report No. 35-2011 – Re: Volunteer Recognition<br />

In D.C.S. Report No. 35-2011 Mrs. Ashley Farr, Facilitator <strong>of</strong> Recreation and Leisure<br />

advises that at the recommendation <strong>of</strong> Council, options for enhancing volunteer<br />

recognition in <strong>Lambton</strong> <strong>Shores</strong> have been researched and are presented in D.C.S.<br />

Report No. 35-2011 for the direction <strong>of</strong> Council.<br />

<strong>The</strong> possibility <strong>of</strong> a proposed Good Neighbour award presented in CL Report No. 52-<br />

2011 was also discussed and Council agreed that both the existing volunteer<br />

recognition program be enhanced as proposed and the Good Neighbour award be<br />

approved. Director <strong>of</strong> Community Services Peggy Van Mierlo-West asked that the<br />

Volunteer Enhancement Program be initiated for 2012 to allow staff to allocate the<br />

required financial and human resources to the program through the operating budget.<br />

That D.C.S. Report No. 35-2011 be accepted as presented and<br />

that the enhancement to the exiting volunteer program as detailed<br />

in this report be implemented for the 2012 and further:<br />

That CL Report No. 52-2011 be accepted as presented and that the<br />

<strong>Lambton</strong> <strong>Shores</strong> Volunteer Recognition Program include the<br />

establishment <strong>of</strong> a Good Neighbour Aware to recognize individuals<br />

whose actions have enhanced their community. Carried<br />

6.7 D.C.S. Report No. 36-2011 – Re: 2011 Capital Plan – Tar and Chip Surface<br />

Treatment Tender Results<br />

<strong>The</strong> results <strong>of</strong> the tenders submitted for the tar and chip surface treatment 2011 Capital<br />

Plan were reviewed. <strong>The</strong> project entails all things necessary for the supply and<br />

application <strong>of</strong> a tar and chip surface on certain roads within Lake Valley Grove. It is
