‘Letter of Introduction’ to open doors when it comes to working with various partners, applying
for funds, etc. The letter could read something along the lines indicated below:

On June 6, 2011 the Lambton Shores Nature Trails Committee (formerly ‘The Trail
Improvement Group), made a presentation to Council concerning the upgrade and expansion of
our Nature Trails in Lambton Shores & Vicinity. The Vision of this volunteer Group is,
‘A Network of connected, accessible, safe and user-friendly Nature Trails’
To make this vision a reality, the volunteer group plans to partner with conservation
organization, landowners, municipal & county staff, ‘Green Sponsors’, local businesses,
community service groups, residents and others. ‘Hiking & Biking are considered high priority
recreation & leisure activities by the residents of Lambton Shores and we, the Council of
Lambton Shores, encourage local organization and/or individual to assist the ‘Lambton Shores
Nature Trails Committee’ in their undertaking.
Partnership terms & conditions in each case will have to be negotiated directly by the parties.
The Municipality of Lambton Shores will act as the umbrella group for liability issues connected
with on-trail work by members of the ‘Lambton Shores Nature Trail Committee and volunteers
under their direction.
