There are many options in our local community and surrounding area to dispose or donate large items that you
may no longer need or that do not work. Outlined in this flyer are many business options and social service
options where items can be disposed of, recycled, or donated.

new items at the below businesses they will dispose of
your old, unwanted items.

bring in your old one. This is based on a spring promotion
that may run year to year. This promotion

turntables, televisions, and video projectors.

SOCIAL SERVICES
Social Services greatly appreciate the donation of many bulk items as long as they are in useable condition.
St. Vincent de Paul, Forest/Sarnia 519-786-4396
Accepts and removes clean furniture and appliances such as electric stoves, washers, and dryers as
long as they are in working condition, no older than 10 years, and on the main level of the house. This
excludes televisions, fridges, freezers and gas stoves. Mattresses and bed pillows are NOT accepted.
Pick up of items can be arranged but pick up must be scheduled 3-4 weeks in advance.

Accepts furniture such as couches, chairs, mattresses, and box springs, televisions, and large
appliances. All items need to be in useable/sellable condition.

Accepts donations of small appliances, and furniture such as couches and chairs. Dropping off of items
is preferred. If items need to be picked up please call Bibles for Mission Thrift Store.
Neighbour Link, Sarnia 519-336-5465
Individuals can call in items they would like to donate and if Neighbour Link has an individual on their
distribution list looking for that item they will accept the donation. If there is no one looking for that
specific item they can not accept the donation in storage. They do however store mattresses.

The Great Refrigerator Roundup
The Great Refrigerator Roundup is a program designed to remove older, inefficient fridges
and freezers from the electrical grid. Generally, these older secondary fridges and freezers,
located in basements or garages, are plugged in but rarely used. These older units typically
use two to three times more electricity than new appliances.
You can schedule pickup on-line by visiting the Ontario Power Authority's website at
http://www.hydroone.com/MyHome/SaveEnergy/Pages/FridgeFreezerPickup.aspx. It
will allow you to sign up for a pick up time on line or you may also schedule an
appointment by calling the Ontario Power Authority's Customer Care Centre at
1-877-797-9473.
