Expand the Environmental Land Management<br />
Service to work with land managers on both<br />
agri-environment and woodland grant schemes<br />
Advocate the benefits of sustainable upland<br />
management and the role of hill farmers in<br />
providing economic social and environmental<br />
benefits in order to gain public support and<br />
generate environmental improvements in the<br />
future.<br />
Work with the farming community through the<br />
Valley <strong>Plan</strong>ning mechanisms to maximise<br />
viability of farming and forestry/woodland land<br />
use and management, for example in relation<br />
to planning, succession planning, farm<br />
