Getting Started in Voice Acting<br />

Have you ever wondered whose voice you are listening to on TV and Radio Commercials?<br />

How about documentaries or audio books? You too can become a Professional Voice-over<br />

Artist! This fun, informative, and empowering class will teach you the basics of entering<br />

a successful career as a voice-over artist. We will discuss some of the many details of<br />

the voice-over industry, the importance of marketing, the importance of your voice-over<br />

demo, and much more. Your instructor will coach and produce you reading scripts, and<br />

even record you in the classroom to later evaluate. Each student will get a personal<br />

evaluation from the instructor. In this 2 hour introduction workshop you will learn many<br />

of the ins and outs of this huge and lucrative industry. Be warned, many who have taken<br />

this class have gone on to become real, bona-fide, professional Voice Actors. Come ready<br />

to laugh, learn, and be inspired.<br />

Have you written a story you would love to see come to life, but don’t know where to<br />

begin? Learn the ins and outs of the screen writing business including industry formats,<br />

when to get an agent, and what to expect from studios. Class is designed for anyone<br />

who has written a script or who just has a great idea and wants to know how to get<br />

started.<br />

Kevin Taft, BS Video and Television Production, has sold a script to a major<br />

studio, and has worked with a major development company on a comic<br />

book to film adaptation.<br />
