Thai Fruit and Vegetable Carving<br />

The art of Thai fruit and vegetable carving adds<br />

beauty and value to every occasion in which it<br />

is used. It has been in existence for over seven<br />

centuries of history and heritage. Body and mind<br />

are focused on the creation and detailed work of<br />

each piece.<br />

• Basic carving techniques<br />

• Creating their own Thai fruit and vegetable designs<br />

• Set-up and arrangements<br />

You can now learn this exquisite traditional craft and begin creating select carvings in a<br />

short period of time. Whether you are interested in learning a craft or are a professional<br />

chef, you will benefit greatly from this amazing time honored art. Tools are included in the<br />

Beer Making<br />

New<br />

You’ll be captivated by the amazing smells emanating from the kettle as you learn<br />

to brew your own beer. During a single four-hour demonstration/lecture class, you<br />

will explore beer-making ingredients, equipment, beer styles, and the brewing process using<br />

extract and specialty grains. Homebrew will be sampled and evaluated during breaks in the<br />

brewing action. Fee includes $5 for ingredients/samples. Class location is TBA.<br />

An award-winning homebrewer, Dr. Patrick Schulz has over 70 batches under his belt,<br />

and has experience brewing many different styles and is familiar with extract, extract with<br />

grains, and all-grain brewing techniques.<br />
