Alabama at Huntsville. He transferred 

to Tennessee Wesleyan, graduating with 

a B.A. degree in health and physical 

education. 

Geeter begins his 17th season as the 

Panthers' head men's coach and 14th 

overall as the women's coach. The 

Panther men are 71-183-8 under 

Geeter, including last year's 7-10 mark. 

He has a 58-112-5 record coaching the 

women. 

In 2004, the Panther women finished 9- 

9-1. It was the first non-losing season 

in the program's history. The record 

was a turn around from a 2-14 mark in 

2002. The Panther women tied for 13th 

nationally as one of the most improved 

teams in NCAA Division III. 

Geeter guided the 1993 men's team to a 

10-7 record and a runner-up finish in 

the NAIA District 25 playoffs. The 10 

wins were the second highest total in 

the Panthers' soccer history. 

Under Geeter, the Panthers have produced 

three all-region players, 16 allconference 

players and five academic 

All-Americans. 

Geeter, an Atlanta native, came to 

LaGrange from his alma mater of 

Tennessee Wesleyan. He was the men 

and women's head coach from 1986 

until accepting the Panthers' head job 

in 1990. 

Geeter started his collegiate playing 

career at Andrew College in Cuthbert, 

Ga. before attending the University of 

At Tennessee Wesleyan, Geeter was 

named to the all-conference, all-district, 

all-area and NAIA All-American teams. 

He was the team's most valuable defensive 

player as a goalkeeper. Geeter was 

inducted into the school's Athletic Hall 

of Fame in 2002. 

Geeter is married to the former Dianne 

Frazier and they have a son, Zach, 17.

2001 as assistant 

athletic 

trainer. He 

graduated 

from Valdosta 

State 

University in May 2001 with a B.S. in 

Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and 

completed his Masters in Arts of Teaching 

in 2004. He first came to LC as an intern 

during the spring of 2001. He also 

interned with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 

in May 2001 and the Atlanta Falcons in the 

summer of 2001. He is certified by the 

National Athletic Trainers' Association 

Board of Certification and licensed by the 

state of Georgia. Rob, a native of Augusta, 

GA, is married to the former La'Shanda 

Collins and they have two daughters, 

Zykeria and Zakiya.

Eva is the 

newest member 

of the Athletic 

Training staff. 

She graduated 

from Georgia 

College & State 

University in 

May 2004 with 

a B.S. in Health Education: Athletic 

Training. She also received her Master's of 

Education from GC&SU in May 2006. Eva 

worked with a variety of sports while in 

college and was the athletic trainer for the 

2006 GC&SU softball team which qualified 

for the NCAA DII World Series. She 

is certified by the National Athletic 

Trainers' Association Board of 

Certification and licensed by the state of 

Georgia.

ATHLETIC TRAINING 

Athletic training is an allied health profession, 

which deals with the care of the physically 

active. Athletic trainers are specifically 

educated in prevention of athletic 

injuries and to recognize, evaluate, and 

assess athletic injuries. Athletic trainers 

provide immediate care to injuries as well 

as provide appropriate treatment and rehabilitation 

to those injuries if the need arises. 

At LaGrange College, the athletic training 

staff's mission is to provide the best 

possible care to the student-athletes at 

LaGrange College. 

The new athletic training room is 

equipped with various modalities to aid the 

athletic training staff in their attempts to 

return the Panthers to the playing field or 

court. In addition to a hydrotherapy room, 

treatment space, taping space, and a rehab 

area, the athletic training room has a physician’s 

exam room. The Southern Center 

for Orthopedics are the team doctors for 

the athletic department and hold clinics to 

see the athletes in the athletic training 

room throughout the academic year

Assisant Coach 

Keita Placide 

Placide will assist Geeter this 

season on the men’s side. He 

will assist Geeter in coordinating 

practices, conditioning/workouts, 

among other 

administrative duties of the 

program. Prior to LC, he was 

a head soccer coach at 

Atlanta Soccer Academy, where he has been since 

2004. He is no stranger to LaGrange College, as he 

was here from 2003-04 as the assistant coach. He is a 

2002 graduate of College of the Cumberlands with a 

Bachelor of Science degree in History with a minor in 

Psychology. During his last two years at Cumberland, 

he was named team captain and Mid-South All- 

Conference. Placide was also voted team MVP his 

sophomore and senior year, along with an HM Mid- 

South Conference as a sophomore.

Assistant Coach 

Mike Petite 

Petite begins his fourth season 

with the Panthers. Petite 

works with all facets of the 

Panthers' program. His duties 

include aiding in practices and 

games, along with recruiting 

responsibilities. In 2004, 

Petite helped guide the 

Panthers to a 9-9-1 mark, the program's first non-losing 

season. 

Petite also serves as the head coach for the LaGrange 

Academy soccer programs in LaGrange. Petite has had 

the Academy's girls' team in the state playoffs for 

seven consecutive seasons that included a berth in the 

2004 state championship game. The girls' team has finished 

first or second in their respective region for 

seven straight years. 

Petite was a four-year letterman at East Forsyth High 

School in Kernersville, N.C. He played on the 

Greensboro (N.C.) Bucs club team for four years and 

was a member on a state championship squad. Petite 

holds degrees in finance from Appalachian State 

University and social science education from the 

University of Georgia. He completed his master in 

sports administration from Georgia State University in 

2004. 

Petite is married to the former Catherine Rivenbark. 

They have a daughter, Madison. 

LaGrange College plays its home games on beautiful 

Panther Field, a 120 yard by 80 yard Bermuda grass 

pitch with seating for over 500 fans. Excellent lighting, 

attractive landscaping and ample parking helps 

make Panther Field one the finest collegiate playing 

facilities in the Southeast. Over the past few years 

LaGrange has hosted several conference tournaments 

and hopes to host future NCAA regional 

matches in the future. 

The adjacent Callaway Education Building houses the 

Panthers' training facilities, locker rooms and an auxillary 

weight room. The building has convenient restroom 

facilities for fans and a lounge area. All in all, 

the Panther Field complex is a great place to play and 

watch soccer.

LaGrange Celebrates It’s 

25th year of Men’s s Soccer 

1981 Men’s Soccer - first team at LC 

The 1988 team pitcured above had one of the best teams ever 

assembled at LC. The Panthers ended the year, 11-7, including a 

NAIA Dist. 24 Berth. Most of the players would stay for the next 

year, giving them a two-year record of 22-13, the best-ever for theprogram, 

including a commending 12-2 record at home. 

Marwan Warrayat (pictured) 

was the first great player for the 

program, playing from 1983-85. 

He led the team in scoring each 

year and still holds career and 

season records for points and 

goals. He was a All-NAIA 

Dist. 24 selection all three 

years.

About the Great South 

The Great South Athletic 

Conference is an athletic affiliation 

of eight NCAA Division III 

member institutions in Alabama, 

Georgia and Tennessee. 

The purpose of the Great 

South Athletic Conference is to 

provide an association through 

which the membership may 

encourage organized competition 

in intercollegiate sports. In particular, 

we recognize athletics as 

integral to the campus life program 

of our students and as 

essential to the total development 

of our student-athletes. We direct 

significant institutional resources 

to our athletic programs to assure 

that student-athletes have appropriate 

coaching, facilities, equipment

Conference Administration 

Colleges and universities in 

NCAA Division III place the
