ASL-English Interpretation Program<br />
offers the option to pursue a BA Degree or<br />
a Two-Year Professional Certificate. The<br />
baccalaureate degree is offered in<br />
collaboration with Empire State/SUNY.<br />
The program, the only one of its kind in the<br />
Metropolitan New York City Tri-State area,<br />
is a rigorous and well-regarded training for<br />
a career as an ASL-English Interpreter.<br />
The program also offers a Pre-Interpretation<br />
Program as a bridge that will assist you in<br />
acquiring the skills needed to be accepted<br />
into the degree or certificate programs.<br />

As an adult ASL and ASL-Interpreter student,<br />
you will have access to the college's state-ofthe-art,<br />

Baby Fingers' Mommy & Me<br />
<strong>Sign</strong> <strong>Language</strong> Classes<br />
<strong>Sign</strong> <strong>Language</strong> for infants and toddlers &<br />
their parents. Three levels of Mommy &<br />
Me <strong>Sign</strong> <strong>Language</strong> Classes are offered for<br />
parents and their hearing infants, as young<br />
as one month old, and toddlers up to age<br />
three.<br />
Our Continuing Education Program<br />
offers five levels of ASL classes that are<br />
designed to help you develop ASL<br />
communication competency. You will<br />
learn the skills of grammar, vocabulary,<br />
expressive and receptive skills, and<br />
experience discussions about Deaf Culture.<br />
Specialized workshops, to help enhance<br />
your ASL skills, are offered throughout<br />
the year.<br />
As a Contract Service, our Continuing<br />
Education ASL classes can be tailored to your<br />
business needs and are offered off-campus.<br />
Intensive Study in <strong>American</strong> <strong>Sign</strong><br />
<strong>Language</strong> is available for the continuing<br />
education student seriously wishing to<br />
advance their studies further. Three levels<br />
of ASL are offered jointly with the college's<br />
Academic Division.<br />
Deaf Studies, a Liberal Arts Associate<br />
in Arts Degree, offers an extensive set of<br />
courses in ASL for college credit. <strong>Language</strong><br />
development is supported, expanded and<br />
reinforced through internships and other<br />
assignments that involve interactions with<br />
diverse ASL users.<br />
