The ID/IQ contract provides engineering services in support of NUWC's Ranges, Engineering, and Analysis Department (Code 70). Potential tasking includes repairs and upgrades to several Navy range facilities. The contract was awarded by NUWC for a total projected value of $60 million through 2015, and all work will be funded and authorized by separate task orders. “This contract award is the result of L-3’s nearly five-decade history of successfully delivering ocean range technology to the U.S. Navy,” said Dan Chabot, division manager of L-3 MariPro. “Ranges are a core business for us, and we are pleased to have the vehicle to supply the critical and timely services necessary for maintaining successful range operations.” NUWC Code 70 is tasked as the technical Lead Field Agent (LFA) for the Navy’s Training, Test and Evaluation (TT&E) Ranges around the world. These ranges allow the military to train crews on air, surface and subsurface vehicles and weapons in all types of real-world situations in a controlled fashion. SANTA BARBARA, Calif., November 16, 2010 – L-3 MariPro announced today that it was awarded a<br />
