UN Norwegian Peacekeeping Medal at Maine State House<br />

On <strong>Sep</strong>tember 27, <strong>2005</strong>, on behalf<br />

of KWVA National President<br />

Louis Dechert and the <strong>Korean</strong><br />

<strong>War</strong> <strong>Veterans</strong> <strong>Association</strong>, KWVA<br />

National Director Jeff Brodeur arrived at<br />

the Maine State House to award Marty<br />

O’Brien, our POW/MIA Coordinator, the<br />

UN Norwegian Peacekeeping Medal.<br />

Graybeards, and is the founder of the<br />

KWVA Clair Goodblood Chapter (#79) in<br />

Augusta, Maine. He served in the 1st<br />

Cavalry Division in Korea in 1950-51.<br />

While we were in the Hall of Flags, I,<br />

Marty, Ed Hoyt, Ken Cyphers, and<br />

Richard Chick (Clair Goodblood members)<br />

presented Maine Governor Baldacci<br />

with a copy of the July/August <strong>2005</strong><br />

Graybeards Magazine, on which his photo<br />

appeared, and a new KWVA/KVA coffee<br />

mug.<br />
