<strong>The</strong> Officers of the Lima Ohio “Johnnie” Johnson Chapter #115 being sworn in above are (l. to r). Taylor Hale and Howard Kohler (Trustees), Bill Chidester (Sgt. at<br />

“<strong>The</strong> Lima Ohio “Johnnie” Johnson Chapter #115 KWVA<br />

held their election of officers in July. <strong>The</strong>y were sworn in by<br />

KWVA National President Harley Coon shown in picture at<br />

right. Next to flag is ex-POW George Bingham, who was in<br />

POW camp same time as Mr. Coon. “Johnnie” Johnson, also a<br />

former POW, was present. George Bingham has his left hand on<br />

the American Flag with President Gene King’s left hand on<br />

George’s right shoulder, and each officer doing the same in a traditional<br />

“solidarity” ceremony.<br />

Central Florida Chapter #153<br />

Pictured are ladies from various KWVA Auxiliary Chapters in Florida who attended<br />

the Ladies Luncheon at the 15th Annual KWVA National Reunion in Mobile<br />

Alabama. on Sept. 14th. <strong>The</strong> Ladies of the KWVA Auxiliaries say the reunion was<br />

a rousing success and we hope to attend many more.<br />

Our chapter was chosen to lead off the annual fair parade this year.<br />

Dear members and readers: I must repeat again that<br />

articles from newspapers take a lot of time to scan and most are<br />

too long to retype. Photos from newspapers also do not copy<br />

well. I tend to use original photos and articles that are typewritten<br />

in lower case. I still have to optically scan everything in to<br />

the computer and it sure helps when you type them well, in 12<br />

point type and keep the length to a minimum. . — Editor.<br />
