On 29 October, the Color Guard of Monroe County Chapter No.1<br />
<strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> <strong>Veterans</strong> <strong>Association</strong> had the honor and privilege of<br />
Presenting Colors at the Buffalo Bills football game against the<br />
New York Jets, at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park (Buffalo)<br />
NY, before a sellout crowd of 72,160.<br />

Commemoration event at San Francisco game with Oakland Raiders.<br />
All <strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> veterans were remembered on this day by the<br />
National Football League.<br />
We are pleased to note that the game was won in the last four<br />
seconds by the Buffalo Bills.<br />
...even football players. We think Harley may<br />
of seen the game every now and then.<br />
Harley sent many photos but few names, so I<br />
cannot show all. I asked Harley what the<br />
score was and he said “Cheerleaders 17<br />
49ers 3.” I do not see any Oakland Raiders<br />
photos. I guess Harley ran out of film–just<br />
teasing.<br />

On 1 December, the Color Guard will Post Colors for the Right<br />
Honorable John Major, former Prime Minister of Great Britain, as<br />
he addresses attendees at the Lakeside Foundation 2000 Annual<br />
Gala Dinner, in Rochester, NY. In previous years, the Color Guard<br />
was privileged to be called upon by Lakeside Foundation management<br />
to Post Colors for General H. Norman Schwarzkopf (1999)<br />
and General Colin Powell, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (1998).<br />
Our Thomas Daley chapter of South Jersey <strong>KWVA</strong> held a “Tell America”<br />
conference at the “Air Victory Museum” in Medford, New Jersey on<br />
Sept. 9 & 10. Shown is our table set up at the air show. <strong>The</strong>re were<br />
approximately 6,000 visitors to the air show and many passed by our<br />
booth asking many questions which we happily answered about the<br />
<strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong>. –Captain Andrew Thomas Jackson (Ret.)<br />
