Outpatient Prescription Writing:<br />
From time to time, you will be called upon to write outpatient prescriptions. The<br />
outpatient prescription includes the name <strong>of</strong> the drug, form in which it is to be dispensed,<br />
amount to be dispensed (Disp), patient instructions (Sig), number <strong>of</strong> refills, and signed by a<br />
resident or attending.<br />
Outpatient Prescription Example:<br />

Sig: (1 po BID x 10 days)<br />
