3. Searching in Lirias: Basic guidelines
• Search terms are implicitly combined with the Boolean “OR”
operator
e.g. elections Belgium will find all items that contain at
least one of these terms (= elections OR Belgium)
• Use quotes to search for phrases
e.g. “elections in Belgium” will find all items that contain
this exact phrase (except stop words)
• To search for authors: use the format: “Last name, first
name”
e.g. “Magnus, Ilse”
