GAINING THE DARK SIGHT<br />
"Mepsitahl, I call you forth from your Neptunian sphere and ask that<br />
you show yourself and that you teach me the secrets of Seership. I wish<br />
to see you, I wish to hear you, I wish for you to come."<br />
Move your eyes immediately from the sigH to the mirror,<br />
pushing your mind deeper into receptivity, your sight pe<strong>net</strong>rating the<br />
glass and seeing nothing but the inner blackness. Direct your mental<br />
focus towards Mepsitahl. Rather than her image forming inside your<br />
head, see it form inside of the mirror. If your physical eyes cannot see<br />
her shape in the mirror, simply let your mind and intuition discern<br />
her features and colors as her essence fills the mirror. Either way, the<br />
\'ision should always originate in the mirror and should then be detected<br />
by the senses and interpreted by the mind. You are not conjuring in<br />
}"our imagination some figure or scene, but are receiving the<br />
impressions of a thing that you could never previously have known.<br />
When the image of Mepsitahl is seen with clarity in the mirror,<br />
either by the eyes or the mind, you are to greet her, welcome her to<br />
your Temple, as she has surely traveled through unseen worlds to be<br />
there. Simply state, "I welcome you to this Temple and thank you for<br />
coming.» At this, she may begin to speak, causing you to face one of the<br />
most difficult aspects of interpJanar communication: seeing the vision<br />
and hearing the voice at once. Unlike communication with humans,<br />
entities from other realms of existence must use separate mechanisms<br />
or energy currents to be seen and to be heard. These different energy<br />
currents are also received, interpreted, and translated to a useable<br />
format by different parts of the mind and the brain. For these reasons,<br />
at the beginning of an astral conversation, there may seem to be a bit<br />
of lag; Mepsitahl's mouth will move. an energy vibration will register<br />
as her voice, and seconds later, her words will take on a vocal resonance<br />
in your mind, forming an oration that you can understand. As your<br />
brain becomes conditioned to this form of interpretation, you may<br />
experience the reverse effect: the spirit's voice will be heard giving you<br />
instruction or answering your questions before the spirit's mouth begins<br />
to move. For the time being, simply listen to what she says, allow your<br />
mind to translate and deliver the message, write it down in your<br />
notebook, and respond to her if applicable. As the conversation<br />
progresses, and as your abilities progress with practice, your sight and<br />
your hearing will naturally align, and you will find communication<br />
""ith these entities to be far more effective than communicating with<br />
