National Chung Cheng University Job Title: Post-doctoral Research Position Date Posted: 9/26/2011 Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Job Description: Post-doctoral Research Position at Advanced Institute of Manufacturing for High-tech Innovations (AIM-HI) National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan A number of Post-doctoral Research positions are immediately available for creative, self-motivated researchers to work on project on advanced manufacturing technologies in response to emerging technological and social needs. The project involves research on and development of key technologies for the next-generation machine tools for green and intelligent manufacturing systems. Beyond the direct application to precision machining, the technologies developed are expected to find productive applications in other systems too, including intelligent robots and vehicles, eco-friendly fabrication processes in the semiconductor and flat panel display industries (the two major industries in Taiwan, generating total revenues of trillions of NT dollars each) as well as the emerging green energy industry. Individuals with strong motivation to work on advanced manufacturing systems are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, computer science and information engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering, opto-mechatronics, or related fields 2. In-depth knowledge of advanced machine tools, precision molding, and leading-edge process and rolling and forging technology 3.
