The amount so due as a<strong>for</strong>esaid shall be <strong>the</strong> total value of <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong>s duly executed and of<br />

<strong>the</strong> contract materials and goods delivered upon <strong>the</strong> site <strong>for</strong> use in <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong>s up to and<br />

including a date not more than seven days prior to <strong>the</strong> date of <strong>the</strong> said certificate less than<br />

amount to be retained by <strong>IDCO</strong> (as hereinafter provided) and less any installments paid<br />

under this article provided that such certificates shall only include <strong>the</strong> value of <strong>the</strong> said<br />

materials and goods as and from time as <strong>the</strong>y are responsible, properly and not<br />

prematurely brought upon <strong>the</strong> site and <strong>the</strong>n only if properly stored and/or protected against<br />

wea<strong>the</strong>r.<br />

7. The measurement of steel rein<strong>for</strong>cement shall be made on <strong>the</strong> basis of linear measurement<br />

as per standard practice. For <strong>the</strong> purpose of recovery of <strong>the</strong> quantity of steel utilised in <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>work</strong>, will be calculated on <strong>the</strong> basis of standard unit weight of various size bars as<br />

mentioned below. In case of any deviation in unit weight from <strong>the</strong> standard weights<br />

mentioned below by more than <strong>the</strong> percentage allowed by code <strong>the</strong> same shall be to <strong>the</strong><br />

Contractor's account. No compensation shall be paid <strong>for</strong> such variation in unit weight.<br />

8. All centering/ shuttering and scaffolding shall be of steel materials of approved quality and<br />

confirming to relevant BIS specification. Use of timber in <strong>the</strong> Centering/ shuttering shall not<br />

be permitted except where essentially required and unavoidable.<br />

In any case <strong>the</strong> centering, shuttering <strong>work</strong> shall be rigid smooth and leak proof so that <strong>the</strong><br />

resulting concrete members are free from undulations, honey combs and are true to size.<br />

9. All concrete structure will be exposed smooth. However, where <strong>the</strong> columns, beams,<br />

ceilings and RCC walls are actually plastered, <strong>the</strong> same shall be done in approved<br />

proportion of cement mortar and payment shall be made <strong>for</strong> such plastering actually done<br />

at <strong>the</strong> quoted rate <strong>for</strong> such item in <strong>the</strong> contract.<br />
