15. No overhead lines should be erected while doing rein<strong>for</strong>cement on concreting <strong>work</strong>s.<br />

16. Be<strong>for</strong>e locking of any room it should be checked by <strong>the</strong> watchman if any <strong>work</strong>ers are<br />

inside.<br />

17. ESI insurance should be obtained <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> labourers by <strong>the</strong> Contractor against any accident.<br />

18. Special Pre-caution <strong>for</strong> operational control <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> construction sites as per functional<br />

procedure of ISO-14001.<br />

The approach to <strong>the</strong> construction site is accessible and relatively free <strong>for</strong> plying of<br />

materials, transport vehicles as well as vehicle of <strong>work</strong>ers/ supervisors and<br />

inspecting officials.<br />

During dry wea<strong>the</strong>r, regular sprinkling of water is done in <strong>the</strong> construction areas to<br />

ensure control of suspended particles like dust etc.<br />

The construction materials like bricks/ laterite stone/ metal/ chips/ steel rods/ sand<br />

etc. are stacked/ stored in proper manner in identified locations. Cement is stored in<br />

a proper shed as per BIS Code.<br />

Construction water/ seepage water is properly drained out to avoid water logging in<br />

<strong>the</strong> construction areas.<br />

Solid waste/ debris are collected and dumped at identified locations be<strong>for</strong>e disposal<br />

<strong>the</strong>reof at designated places/ areas. This locations is barricaded so as to ensure<br />

that <strong>the</strong> waste materials like, broken glass, pointed nails, steel scraps with sharp<br />

edge etc. do not cause physically injuries to <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong>ers or supervisor or visitors.<br />

Reusable materials like empty containers, empty cement bags, wooden/ steel<br />

centering, shuttering plates/ planks etc. are properly stacked <strong>for</strong> carrying those to<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r construction sites/ Central Stores.<br />

The vehicles which carry debris/ excess earth etc. from <strong>the</strong> construction sites are<br />

not allowed to be over loaded nor <strong>the</strong>se vehicles are allowed to speed up beyond a<br />

given speed limit so as to ensure that <strong>the</strong>se materials do not get spilled during<br />

transportation and <strong>the</strong>reby pollute <strong>the</strong> atmosphere.<br />

Dug-up areas/ pits, openings on upper floors are properly barricaded to avoid<br />

accident to <strong>work</strong>ers/ o<strong>the</strong>rs.<br />
