4. WATER AND POWER SUPPLY:<br />

<strong>IDCO</strong> may provide construction water at site <strong>for</strong> which cost of water supplied shall be<br />

realized from <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong> bill of contractor as per <strong>the</strong> prevailing rate. In case water supply is not<br />

provided by <strong>IDCO</strong> <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> contractor has to arrange <strong>the</strong> water making his own arrangement. The<br />

contractor has to apply to to avail power supply from <strong>the</strong> concerned distribution company a to meet<br />

his construction requirement during <strong>the</strong> construction period at his own cost.<br />

5. SETTING OUT WORKS:<br />

The contractor shall be responsible <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> true and proper setting out of <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong>s at his<br />

own cost in relation to original points, lines and levels of reference proposed by contractor and<br />

approved by Engineer-in-charge in writing out <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> correctness of <strong>the</strong> position, levels,<br />

dimensions, alignment of all part of <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong>s and <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> provisions of all herewith. If at any time<br />

during <strong>the</strong> progress of <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong>s <strong>the</strong> correctness on being required to do so by <strong>the</strong> Engineer-incharge<br />

or his representative shall at his own cost rectify such ef<strong>for</strong>ts to <strong>the</strong> satisfaction of <strong>the</strong><br />

Engineer-in-charge. The checking of any setting out or any line or level by <strong>the</strong> Engineer-in-charge<br />

or his representative shall not in any way relieve <strong>the</strong> contractor of is responsibility <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

correctness <strong>the</strong>reof and <strong>the</strong> contractor shall carefully protect and preserve all benchmarks sight<br />

rails, page and o<strong>the</strong>r things user in setting out of <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong>.<br />

6. WORK PROGRAMME:<br />

The contractor shall furnish a detailed construction schedule in <strong>the</strong> <strong>for</strong>m of Bar Chart. This<br />

will include all operation from procurement of materials to final testing at site to be indicated with<br />

reference to <strong>the</strong> time period of each item. The Bar Chart showing <strong>the</strong> construction schedule shall<br />

be approved by <strong>the</strong> Corporation and <strong>the</strong> approved schedule will be binding on <strong>the</strong> contractor. The<br />

programme shall be reviewed at monthly intervals and may be revised depending upon <strong>the</strong><br />

progress so as to complete <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong> within stipulated period.<br />

7. SITE ORDER/SITE INSPECTION/QUALITY CONTROL REGISTER:<br />

The Engineer-in-charge will issue a Site Order Register to <strong>the</strong> contractor or his authorised<br />

representatives. The contractor shall keep <strong>the</strong> site order book always with <strong>the</strong> representative. The<br />

site order register shall be <strong>the</strong> property of <strong>the</strong> corporation but will remain with <strong>the</strong> contractor during<br />

<strong>the</strong> period of execution and safe custody of <strong>the</strong> site order book will be <strong>the</strong> responsibility of <strong>the</strong><br />

contractor. The Site Order Register shall be returned by <strong>the</strong> Contractor with <strong>the</strong> final bill. The<br />

contractor will also keep <strong>the</strong> site inspection and quality control register issued by <strong>the</strong> Deptt. at site.<br />
