10. The surplus earth and debris should be lifted after completion of <strong>work</strong> and proper<br />

levelling of site as directed by Engineer-in-charge without any extra claim.<br />

11. Pumps and motors to be of reputed and approved make.<br />

12. All <strong>the</strong> <strong>work</strong> including supply of materials to be executed as per relevant IS<br />

specification and direction of Engineer-in-charge.<br />

13. Foundation of all structure including supply of materials shall be designed<br />

depending on Ground water table / subsoil condition. In no case <strong>the</strong> Depth of foundation<br />

below virgin soil shall be less than 1.0 mtr. at respective places.<br />

14. All equipments, accessories, auxiliaries, piping, electrical instruments, installations,<br />

construction, buildings etc. including all mechanical, electrical & civil engineering <strong>work</strong>s<br />

covered under <strong>the</strong> scope of <strong>work</strong> of contractor shall be subject to inspection & testing by <strong>the</strong><br />

Department <strong>for</strong> its material, quality, <strong>work</strong>manship and <strong>the</strong> per<strong>for</strong>mance. The contractor shall<br />

arrange and carryout all such inspection, testing, trial run etc. and demonstrate in presence<br />

of <strong>the</strong> Engineer-in-charge of <strong>the</strong> Department.<br />

15. The cost of such inspection, testing, trial run, demonstration etc. shall be borne buy<br />

<strong>the</strong> contractor. All responsibility of such inspection, testing, trial run, demonstration etc. and<br />

any damage/loss that may cause directly or indirectly shall exclusively rest with <strong>the</strong><br />

contractor.<br />

16. Such inspection, testing, trial run, demonstration etc. shall, however, not relieve <strong>the</strong><br />

contractor of <strong>the</strong>ir liability <strong>for</strong> replacing / rectifying any defects, which may subsequently<br />

appear or be detected during erection and guarantee period.<br />

17. All equipments, sub-assembly and components, auxiliaries and accessories shall be<br />

tested at manufacturer’s cost in accordance with relevant Indian Standards/International<br />

Standards. The contractor shall furnish all test certificates etc. related to <strong>the</strong> quality of all<br />

<strong>the</strong> materials to <strong>the</strong> Department along with <strong>the</strong> delivery of <strong>the</strong> materials at site without which<br />

no payment shall be released. However, such test certificates, quality assurance certificate<br />

shall not relieve <strong>the</strong> contractor of it’s obligation to replace <strong>for</strong>th with any<br />

instrument/materials found defective during tests at <strong>work</strong>s / trial running period/guarantee<br />

period.<br />
