<strong>Report</strong> of the Auditors<br />
We have audited the financial statements of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank<br />
for the year ending December 31, <strong>2004</strong>, in accordance with generally accepted<br />
Austrian auditing standards as recommended by the reports, guidelines<br />
and opinions of the Institut O‹ sterreichischer Wirtschaftspru‹fer.<br />
We have found that the accounting records and the financial statements of<br />
the Oesterreichische Nationalbank for the year ending December 31, <strong>2004</strong>,<br />
are presented in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Act on the<br />
Oesterreichische Nationalbank 1984 as amended. The financial statements<br />
were prepared in conformity with the accounting policies defined by the<br />
Governing Council of the European Central Bank, as set forth in the Guideline<br />
of the European Central Bank of 5 December 2002 on the legal framework<br />
for accounting and reporting in the European System of Central Banks<br />
(ECB/2002/10), in conformity with Article 26.4 of the Protocol on the<br />
Statute of the European System of Central Banks and the European Central<br />
Bank. In our opinion the accounts provide a true and fair picture of the<br />
OeNBÕs financial position and the results of its operations. The annual report<br />
complies with the provisions of Article 68 paragraph 1 and paragraph 3 of the<br />
Federal Act on the Oesterreichische Nationalbank 1984 as amended and as<br />
promulgated in Federal Law Gazette I No. 55/2002 and corresponds with<br />
the financial statements.<br />
