According to the General MeetingÕs<br />
decision, EUR 12.579 million<br />
of the profit for the year 2003 were apportioned<br />
to the OeNBÕs Anniversary<br />
Fund for the Promotion of Scientific<br />
Research and Teaching. Adjusted for<br />
the return on investment for <strong>2004</strong><br />
and repayments made, the initial<br />
funding of the OeNB Anniversary<br />
Fund thus came to EUR 39.816<br />
million. Of these funds, EUR<br />
16.901 million were paid out in<br />
<strong>2004</strong>; EUR 21.364 million of the remaining<br />
undisbursed funds of EUR<br />
22.915 million have been pledged.<br />
In <strong>2004</strong>, the General Council decided<br />
to allocate an additional EUR 12.494<br />
million to fund 208 projects and EUR<br />
3.580 million to fund three institutes.<br />
This means that since funds were first<br />
pledged as financial assistance in<br />
1966, a total EUR 652.938 million<br />
has been paid out.<br />
The EUR 43.614 million the<br />
OeNB Anniversary Fund pledged<br />
for the National Foundation are pro<br />
rata income from earmarked assets<br />
for <strong>2004</strong>; payment to the National<br />
Foundation is made the day after the<br />
General Meeting.<br />
