<strong>Intrax</strong> secures medical and travel insurance for all of its<br />
sponsored J-1 Work and Travel students through AVI<br />
International.* <strong>Intrax</strong> supplies an ID card which<br />
identifies your student employee as an <strong>Intrax</strong>-sponsored<br />
J1 participant covered by AVI insurance.<br />
<strong>Intrax</strong> advises students during orientation to keep their<br />
ID card with them at all times to present to doctors,<br />
hospitals and others who require proof of insurance.<br />
Students have access to information regarding claims,<br />
out-of-pocket costs, exclusions, and all other AVI<br />
resources in their online Compass account.<br />

The entire <strong>Intrax</strong> AVI <strong>Insurance</strong> policy (PDF) can be<br />
accessed online on the <strong>Intrax</strong> website.<br />
In an Emergency<br />
For emergency help and hospital treatment, students<br />
are required to contact the AVI Emergency Center,<br />
open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.<br />

If participants are unable to obtain the assistance<br />
they need direct from AVI, they should call <strong>Intrax</strong> at<br />
1-888-224-0450. <strong>Intrax</strong> takes on the responsibility of<br />
helping students navigate medical access and claims.<br />
