SENIOR AWARDS ASSEMBLY
APRIL 26, 2013
Brock Kesterson: GOOD MORNING, and welcome to the 2013
Senior Awards Assembly. We will begin as we do with all things
here at SLUH, and so I ask Mr. Laughlin to lead us in our opening
Prayer.
David Laughlin: Opening Prayer
Brock Kesterson: As you know, on Wednesday and Thursday of
this week freshmen, sophomores and juniors were recognized at
their own Awards Ceremonies. All of today’s awards – with the
exception of the Faculty Appreciation Award – are for seniors. As
we have done at our awards ceremonies throughout the week,
today’s ceremony will recognize students for both their
participation and their leadership.
Our first students to be recognized today have been named by their
club moderators for their diligent participation in clubs and
organizations. These students will be asked to stand and receive
our applause. I will read the names of students being recognized for
their participation in Cocurriculars, and then Mr. Becvar will read
the names of students being recognized for their achievements in
Academic clubs and contests.
Following this first part of our ceremony we will present medals for
leadership in Cocurriculars and Academics, and we will conclude
with our major awards winners in the senior class.
Again I ask that you please stand when I call your name and remain
standing until your entire group has been called. Please hold your
applause until each group has been read in its entirety.
