“Proper temperature is essential during cell passaging <strong>to</strong> increase cell viability<br />
and allow enzymes like trypsin <strong>to</strong> work efficiently,” says Laura Geenen,<br />
Product Manager for <strong>Bel</strong>-<strong>Art</strong> <strong>Products</strong>. The Scienceware ® CultureTemp 37°C<br />
Warming Plate, catalog no. F37015-0000, helps keep cells at an optimal 37°C<br />
(+/-1°C) outside of the incuba<strong>to</strong>r reducing cell stress and allowing them <strong>to</strong><br />
remain in a cell culture hood or on the workbench for longer periods of time.<br />
The UV resistant polypropylene housing will not break down under germicidal UV lights, and a<br />
built in, 15-minute count down timer helps keep track of time sensitive applications. “It also<br />
helps reduce stress on cells while in the incuba<strong>to</strong>r by preventing the need <strong>to</strong> repeatedly return<br />
plates <strong>to</strong> the incuba<strong>to</strong>r and disrupting the incuba<strong>to</strong>r environment,” says Geenen. It has a<br />
suggested retail price of $425.<br />

and door security loops can be secured with tamper-evident tags. “Although designed for use in<br />
refrigera<strong>to</strong>rs, this molded desicca<strong>to</strong>r is competitive with other small, fabricated acrylic<br />
desicca<strong>to</strong>rs making it useful outside the refrigera<strong>to</strong>r as well,” says Rob Petersen, Product<br />
