Why Kentucky?
“Kentucky is a place with friendly people. It provides
good education and an excellent athletic volleyball
program. It is where you find amazing athletes
with the heart of “go-getters,” who bust their tails
everyday to make winning possible. These athletes
understand the concept of “pain is temporary and
pride is forever.” UK provides lots of opportunities
during and after your years in Kentucky. It is a great
place to expand continuously in anything you set
your mind to. And most of all, it has the coolest mascot
anybody would ever encounter, and besides blue
and white looks good on me. So go ahead and answer
the call of the WILDCAT, and bleed blue too.”
Coach Skinner on Nzenwa:
"Obviously, Queen has the athletic ability to be a difference-maker
in this sport. We are going to put her in
positions and situations to take advantage of her physicality
at the net."
