Strength & Conditioning Coach<br />
Stephanie Tracey begins her fourth season<br />
with the <strong>Kentucky</strong> volleyball team after coming<br />
on staff as the head Olympic sport strength and<br />
conditioning coach in August 2002.<br />
The Huntsville, Ohio native has extensive volleyball<br />
knowledge after playing as an outside hitter<br />
for four years (1993-96) at Ohio <strong>University</strong> in<br />
Athens. She earned both a bachelor’s degree in<br />
journalism and a master’s degree in physical education<br />
from OU.<br />
Tracey began her career in strength and<br />
conditioning as a graduate assistant at her alma<br />
mater from 1997-98. She was hired in the<br />
same role at UCLA in 1998 and left the Bruins<br />
as the associate head strength and conditioning<br />
coach last fall.<br />
In addition to working with volleyball,<br />
Tracey works with the men’s and women’s<br />
swimming & diving, s<strong>of</strong>tball and men’s soccer<br />
teams at UK and oversees all other Olympic<br />
sports with the assistance <strong>of</strong> Assistant Strenth<br />
Coach Jeff Sydes.<br />
Tracey is a certified strength and conditioning<br />
specialist and a United States Weightlifting Association<br />
Level I Club Coach. She is the daughter <strong>of</strong><br />
Steve Tracey and Jan Lambert.<br />
