Is it not time for those who believe that their hearts should be<br />
humbled to the remembrance of God…. (<strong>Al</strong>-Hadid, 57:16)<br />
O you who believe! Remember God with much remembrance. /<br />

And mention the Name of your Lord at dawn and with the<br />
declining of the sun. (<strong>Al</strong>-Insan, 76:25)<br />
And never say regarding something, ‘I will indeed do that<br />
tomorrow’, / without [adding], ‘If God will’. And remember<br />
your Lord if you forget…. (<strong>Al</strong>-Kahf, 18:23–24)<br />
When you have performed the prayer, remember God, standing<br />
and sitting and on your sides…. (<strong>Al</strong>-Nisa’, 4:103)<br />
Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not flag in<br />
remembrance of Me. (Ta Ha, 20:42)<br />
[T]hose who believe and whose hearts are reassured by God’s<br />
remembrance. Verily by God’s remembrance are hearts made<br />
serene. (<strong>Al</strong>-Ra‘d, 13:28)<br />
And to God belong the Most Beautiful Names — so invoke<br />
Him by them, and leave those who blaspheme His Names….<br />
(<strong>Al</strong>-A‘raf, 7:180)<br />
... Say: ‘God’, then leave them to play in their vain discourse.<br />
(<strong>Al</strong>-An‘am, 6:91)<br />
Remember Me, I will remember you …. (<strong>Al</strong>-Baqarah, 2:152)43<br />
Conversely, God warns repeatedly in the Qur’an of the consequences<br />
