A <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong> can be an <strong>of</strong>fice, a MP3 player, a camera<br />

and even a bank. Thanks to PostFinance <strong>Mobile</strong> Fast Service,<br />

you can call up <strong>your</strong> account balance and account transactions,<br />

top up <strong>your</strong> talktime credit for a prepaid <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong><br />

and process payments. For example, with the fast Scan + Pay<br />

function in the PostFinance App.<br />

Simple, practical, secure<br />

Transfer/payment amounts approved by you are charged<br />

directly to <strong>your</strong> postal account using <strong>your</strong> <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong><br />

number and shown in <strong>your</strong> account statement. You must<br />

register once for this service. PostFinance <strong>Mobile</strong> Fast Service<br />

is not a subscription service, and there are no recurrent<br />

costs for you.<br />

One-time application<br />

Application is fast and easy. You have six options:<br />

– In e-finance: you only need to enter <strong>your</strong> <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong> number in e-finance under<br />

“Services > PostFinance <strong>Mobile</strong>”. You can also set <strong>your</strong> individual monthly limit here.<br />

– At the Postomat: follow the steps listed under menu item “Additional functions ><br />

Register for PostFinance <strong>Mobile</strong>”.<br />

– By text message: follow the instructions on the inside page.<br />

– In the App: download the App or Android App from PostFinance in the App store and<br />

open it once downloaded. Follow the steps under the menu item “Register”.<br />

– In writing: you will find the form on the PostFinance website. Simply print it out,<br />

complete it and send it to PostFinance. Go to ww w.postfinance.ch/<strong>mobile</strong> and click on<br />

“Register”.<br />

– By tele<strong>phone</strong>: +41 (0)848 888 700 (regular rate)<br />

Individual monthly limit<br />

PostFinance sets a monthly limit <strong>of</strong> CHF 250/EUR 150/USD 250 for all PostFinance<br />

<strong>Mobile</strong> Fast Service payments. You can change this limit between CHF 0 and CHF 3000/<br />

EUR 2000/USD 3000 at any time either by text message, in the App, via e-finance or in<br />

writing.<br />

This is how to apply<br />

Text message to 474<br />

Send a text message with the keyword START and the 11- to 13-digit ID or TC number<br />

on the back <strong>of</strong> <strong>your</strong> yellow PostFinance Card Direct to 474. A text message containing<br />

<strong>your</strong> code will be sent to <strong>your</strong> <strong>phone</strong> in a few seconds.<br />

Enter the randomized number into the reader<br />

Always leave a space between the keyword and the<br />

number (e.g. START 110234249778). The system is not<br />

case sensitive.<br />

Now insert <strong>your</strong> PostFinance Card Direct into the reader as shown and enter the randomized<br />

number sent by text message into the reader. Then press the OK button on<br />

the reader. If you are not yet in possession <strong>of</strong> a card reader, please send a text message<br />

containing the keyword DOCUMENTS [name and address] (e.g. DOCUMENTS Maria<br />

Bernasconi Sample Street 1 3030 Bern) to 474.<br />

PIN and activation code<br />

The reader will ask you to enter <strong>your</strong> PIN. The PIN <strong>of</strong> the<br />

PostFinance Card Direct is the series <strong>of</strong> numbers which you<br />

need to make withdrawals from Postomats, for example.<br />

Press OK to conclude the process. The reader will now display<br />

the activation code.<br />

Note down the activation code. This is important because<br />

the code will only be displayed briefly for security reasons.<br />

Each activation code can only be used once.<br />

Send a text message with the keyword CODE and the<br />

activation code just displayed on the card reader (e.g. CODE<br />

35791) to 474 within five minutes. You will receive a text<br />

message confirming successful activation.

Call up <strong>your</strong> account balance by text message<br />

You’re shopping and you’re no longer sure how much money is in<br />

<strong>your</strong> account. With PostFinance you can call up <strong>your</strong> account balance<br />

or the most recent account transactions by text message at any time;<br />

no matter where you are.<br />

Enter the keyword BALANCE or TRANSACTIONS<br />

and text it to 474.<br />

Tip: to call up the account balance / account transactions from <strong>your</strong> other<br />

Topping up <strong>your</strong> talktime credit for a prepaid <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong><br />

by text message<br />

Forget all <strong>of</strong> the different ways you used to top up talktime credit. You<br />

can now do this anytime and anywhere, and it is faster and easier than<br />

before. This service works with Swisscom, Orange, Sunrise, Yallo and<br />

MTV <strong>Mobile</strong>. Other providers are constantly being added.<br />

Enter the keyword RELOAD and the amount in CHF<br />

(without a decimal place) and text it to 474.<br />

For a different prepaid <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong>:<br />

enter the keyword RELOAD, the amount in CHF<br />

Pay<br />

Transfer money by text message<br />

A familiar problem: you are out with friends and one person pays<br />

for everyone. Because the others don’t usually have the exact amount<br />

with them, everyone can transfer the amount by text message using<br />

their <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong>.<br />

Transfer with postal account number<br />

Enter the keyword PAY CHF [amount] TO [postal account<br />

no.] [personal comments] and text it to 474.<br />

Example: PAY CHF 50 TO 24-9779-8 Dinner<br />

Transfer with <strong>mobile</strong> number<br />

Beneficiaries whose <strong>mobile</strong> <strong>phone</strong> number is not registered<br />

with PostFinance or who do not have a postal<br />

account are sent a text message asking them to provide<br />

PostFinance with the postal account number or bank<br />

account IBAN. Transfers from and to international bank<br />

accounts are not possible.<br />

<strong>Mobile</strong> payment<br />

In future, you will be able to use the PostFinance <strong>Mobile</strong> Fast Service to<br />

pay for more and more products and services. You can pay via the Fast<br />

Service wherever you see the relevant symbol. You can find the list <strong>of</strong><br />

suppliers at ww w.postfinance.ch/<strong>mobile</strong>.<br />

An SMS service (in German) is available and will keep you informed<br />

<strong>of</strong> all the latest <strong>of</strong>fers. Simply send a text message with the keyword<br />

START ANGEBOTE to 8181 (text messages are free <strong>of</strong> charge).<br />

With the exception <strong>of</strong> the regular text message fee or App connection charges, PostFinance<br />

<strong>Mobile</strong> services are free. If the postal account has insufficient funds or the payment limit<br />

has already been reached, payment will be declined.

Handle payments quickly<br />

The PostFinance App enables you to use all e-finance functions directly<br />

and at any time via <strong>your</strong> iPhone or Android. The unique benefit <strong>of</strong> the<br />

App for you is that you no longer have to enter inpayment slips! Simply<br />

use the Scan + Pay function and approve the payment with the press <strong>of</strong><br />

a button. Here’s how it works:<br />

1. Launch the Scan + Pay function<br />

on <strong>your</strong> PostFinance App and<br />

choose “Scan now”.<br />

2. Hold the camera lens over the<br />

code area <strong>of</strong> the inpayment<br />

slip until the code appears in<br />

full in the scan area.<br />

3. Following the automatic<br />

identification <strong>of</strong> the code, the<br />

payment details are displayed.<br />

Once you have checked <strong>your</strong><br />

details, press “Send”. The<br />

payment will be executed on<br />

the specified date.<br />

The PostFinance App enables you to call up share price information from<br />

fifteen stock exchanges around the world. A practical search function<br />

helps you find the stock you are looking for so that you can add it to<br />

<strong>your</strong> personal watchlist. You also have access to financial and business<br />

news, foreign exchange rates and PostFinance fund prices. Graphics and<br />

text message/e-mail alerts are included.<br />
