154 Chapter 7: Using the VCode’s bar code reader VCode User Guide Transferring the formats to the reader To transfer the formats to the reader’s firmware: 1. Click Transfer. The Send/Receive settings (BL) dialog box opens. 2. Click Send settings (Save in BL EEP-ROM). The result dialog box opens stating BL setting is finished. If you get the message Failed to set up BL, check the COM port settings and try again. If you get the same message and you are sure that you completed this procedure correctly, call the Velocity11 Service Center. 3. Click OK. 4. Click the close box to close the transfer dialog box. 5. Click Exit. 6. In the Warning dialog box, click OK. There is no need to save settings in the software because they have been saved in the reader’s firmware. 7.
