3G - An Advanced Overview<br />
This training course is designed to give participants an<br />
advanced overview of the third Generation Mobile system<br />
(3G). Participants shall explore the network architecture<br />
– access and core networks with related functionalities,<br />
specifications, and concepts. In addition, participants shall<br />
learn the traffic considerations for the pre-paid and postpaid<br />
service systems as well as the details of the transport<br />
technologies utilized for a 3G network. In progress<br />
participants will explore the elements of the Operation<br />
Support Subsystem (OSS) related to management and<br />
service assurance. Finally participants will explore the basic<br />
considerations of designing and planning a 3G network<br />
along with backward compatibility assurance.<br />
