ACTIVITIES BOOTH
Gifts etc. at the Pittcon Store in
McCormick Place
As in the past, this year’s selection of souvenirs will include one
or more Conference mascots, various children’s items, T-shirts,
and sweat shirts, as well as a variety of other gift items to take
home to family, friends and co-workers. Make sure to stop and
shop. We hope to have that special item for everyone.
Pittcon 2009 5K Fun Run and Walk
Sunday, March 8, 2009, 7:30 a.m., McCormick Place North.
Get your Pittcon week off to a running start at the Fun Run! This
is a great opportunity to meet with old friends, to make new
acquaintances and to network with fellow conferees, exhibitors
and potential clients. Registration is FREE at (www.pittcon.org)
and open to registered conferees, exhibitors and their guests.
Participants of all levels are welcome.
Tours
A number of fun and informative tours of the Chicago area
is being offered during the Conference. Tickets for various tours
may be purchased on site at the tour booth (located next to the
Pittcon store). Visit www.pittcon.org/attendee/tours.html for tour
and attraction listings.
Airport Shuttle
Tickets to Midway and O’Hare Airports can be purchased at the
Tour Booth.
Dinner Reservations
When you get a chance between seminars, symposia and
exposition, stop by the restaurant reservation booth (next to the
Pittcon store) to make dinner reservations for any of the fine
restaurants in Chicago. Plan ahead—the more popular spots fill
up quickly.
MIXERS
Sunday Evening Registration /
Poster Session Mixer
A FREE mixer/poster session is being held in McCormick Place
South in the Grand Ballroom on Sunday evening from 5:30 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. This mixer will begin after the Plenary Lecture.
It’s a great opportunity to meet old friends or to make new
acquaintances. Entertainment, complimentary beverages, and
light snacks will be provided.
Exposition Floor/Poster Mixers on
Tuesday and Thursday
There are complimentary mixers on the exposition floor on
Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday, from 1:00
p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in booths 674, 3287, Millennium Park, 4817, and
5052. Take a break from your busy day to rejuvenate and
network. In the past, these have been ice cream mixers with
some liquid refreshments to accompany the sweets. The
Conference Committee would like to thank you for attending
Pittcon 2009.
