7. Registration and cancellation Bill recipient
The registration and cancellation functions are either both made available
via PostFinance (see section 7.2) or the biller handles both processes via his
own platform (see section 7.3).
In order to receive bills electronically, the bill recipient must be registered
with the biller, i. e. he must notify the issuer of his subscriber number for
e-bill (EBillAccountID), similar to an address change notification. The biller
enters this number into his customer database.
To register, the bill recipient can call up a voice-operated list of available
billers in e-finance or in the business interface. “Register” and “Cancel”
buttons are shown next to each biller for registering or cancelling the registration
with this biller. It is not possible to register via web services or FTP.
Direct registration can also be used as a simple means of acquiring private
customers. With a single mouse click, the recipient can register with the
corresponding biller in e-finance (see section 7.1).
7.1 Direct registration
In e-finance there is also a simple registration option directly from the information
text that appears after manual entry of a payment in favour of a
biller using e-bill. Here, a bill recipient can register with the corresponding
biller with a single mouse click (without filling in the registration form).
Display in e-finance if the user has entered a payment manually in favour of a biller who uses
e-bill and supports direct registration.
In order to promote e-bill among bill recipients we recommend
that all billers use this form of registration, which is by far the most
efficient.
