5.6 Delivery of the signed bills
PostFinance delivers the signed bills via a channel supported by PostFinance
(see section 11) to the bill recipient and the biller. Unless otherwise
instructed, before delivering the data PostFinance checks the signature and
delivers the results along with the bill data.
5.7 Data storage by PostFinance
PostFinance does not archive bills for longer than required for processing,
mainly for data protection reasons. If the bill data are forwarded to a network
partner, the storage regulations of the partner system apply. Billers and
bill recipients are responsible for correct and complete long-term bill storage
(see sections 1.4, 4.9 and 6.5).
5.7.1 Processing data
Processing data and bill details (PDF) are irretrievably deleted from the
database 120 calendar days after the bill due date or the last status change.
5.7.2 Data downloaded via business interface, web services
or e-finance
The data are available for up to 120 calendar days after the bill due date
or the date on which the data were created. They are available for a further
40 calendar days after download. The associated processing data are
deleted as per section 5.7.1.
5.7.3 Data downloaded via SFTP or AS2
For data made available via SFTP or AS2, the same statements apply
regarding storage or deletion for PostFinance as in section 5.7.1.
5.7.4 Archive-disk data
Data delivered on CD are stored by PostFinance for one year after delivery
to the biller and recipient. Thereafter the data are irretrievably deleted.
5.7.5 Swiss Post business data
The transaction data relating to account bookings and the transaction
journal (see section 5.1) are considered to be PostFinance business data and
are thus archived according to Swiss Post regulations.
