2.3 Biller setup using untested software
If the biller’s software has not yet been tested for the PostFinance e-bill
solution, the following processes must be analysed and defined separately.
PostFinance assists the biller via the e-bill helpdesk (see SLA in the Annex).
The following points are of particular interest to billers:

and cancellation

Decision whether bills are to be digitally signed by
Swiss Post or one of its affiliated network partners.
If so, an authorization form must be provided (see
section 5.3).
Add new “subscriber number” field to database and
indicate that the bill is to be sent electronically.
The registration and cancellation processes can either
be performed with the PostFinance tool or on the
biller’s platform (see section 7).
Bill details Presentment of the bill details with or without the
bill presentment module (see section 8).
Data transmission Data transmission via business interface, web services
or FTP file transfer (see section 11).
The bill delivery interface is configured according to the defined parameters.
In particular, the relevant data exchange procedures and the parameters
defined in the yellowbill system are configured.
Together with the biller, the interface is tested on the integration system
and prepared for transfer to the production systems. Particular care is taken
to check the security of the data connection (see section 11.3). Registration
for the tests must take place two days before the desired test period.
Acceptance of the bill delivery interface follows predefined testing procedures.
After successful acceptance, confirmed by both parties, the interface
goes live and the biller receives the definitive login elements.
